In 2026 ‘Screams By The Sea’ awarded it's third "BEST SCREENPLAY" award. Brock LaBorde's screenplay "The Cursed and the Favored" took home the award.

The festival invites budding screenwriters to submit their original, self-contained, horror feature film screenplays for the chance to pitch their films to a room fill with industry leaders. Four of the best screenplays will be shortlisted and the writers invited to pitch their stories to the audience of the festival where one screenplay will be awarded - Best Screenplay award.
