"Screams By The Sea" Film Festival is a celebration of independent horror & genre cinema. We’re on a mission to discover and promote diverse & emerging talent. Screening 5 feature films & an hour of shorts that will keep film lovers on the edge of their seats as well as a series of industry talks and workshops for practical effects and prosthetic makeup. Audiences will have the opportunity to see a glimpse of the filmmaking magic & filmmakers can learn from seasoned professionals who have brought some spectacular creatures and characters to life! Filmmakers & film enthusiasts will have the chance to hang out with other film professionals in our FILM INDUSTRY HUB throughout the day of the event.

Held at PDSW in Bournemouth, moments away from the final resting place of the legendary writer of Frankenstein - Mary Shelley, "Screams By The Sea" honours the art of scary stories told through the lens, and celebrates the unique narratives that independent filmmakers bring to life on the big screen. “Screams By The Sea” shares location with one of the biggest film schools outside of London - Bournemouth Film School. Allowing students to experience original and topical genre cinema.

“Screams By The Sea” is a one day event packed with exciting feature films, amazing short films & insightful panels and workshops. The festival is set to take place on the 29th of March, 2025. The festival opens its doors at 09:00AM and goes on till late at night.
📢 Who is Screams By the Sea?
Radi Nikolov (Festival Director) and PARALLEL VIEW LTD RADI NIKOLOV is an up & coming film director and writer who has worked on films that have received wide international success & shows that have gained millions of views. In 2023 Radi’s passion kickstartered “Screams By The Sea”, giving filmmakers a place to expand their connections and film goers a chance to see new and original independent horror films on the big screen. Djonny Chen (Festival Director) and Silent D Pictures SILENT D PICTURES, is an international Film and Television production company based in the UK, lead by Indonesian-British film producer DJONNY CHEN. They have produced, co-produced, lined-produced and shot many Indonesian feature films, TV, TVC, and Web-series. All of these projects have been released nationwide in Indonesian cinemas, some reaching the top of the Box Office. The company is currently producing many English-speaking feature films to be released in the United Kingdom, Indonesia, and other world territories. They've produced twenty-six new feature films to date ready to be released in 2023-24.
